Better than a scrumptious taco from my favorite Austin Korean taco truck, Chi’Lantro BBQ, is news about said truck. Yesterday, Chi’Lantro BBQ’s Iris Han dropped me a quick note. In it, she wrote that a Houston Chi’Lantro truck will be serving kimchee fries, burritos and its signature tacos mid-February 2012.
“The details are still being worked out,” Han explained. “We plan to serve lunch on weekdays and late night dinners on weekends; locations are being researched now and we are taking suggestions from Houstonians about where they’d like to see us.”
The Houston wheels will join the Austin fleet, the franchise operation in the Killeen/Waco area, with Dallas expected to join the Chi’Lantro brand nextsummer. It makes me happy—and hungry—to see Chi’Lantro doing so well.
